This is a trick question because there is no such thing as more time - only time that we are able to allocate differently or better. Each of us, including our customers and clients, has 24 hours each day. It's how we use that time. See Stephen Covey's 7 Habits book for the 4 quadrants of activity.

Kathy, there are two concepts that often are confused - marketing and advertising. Marketing, PR and promotion do not have to cost much of anything - in most cases they are free (social media and word or mouth, for instance). Advertising, on the other hand, always costs something.

The best way to meet new people for your business - because you are meeting new people constantly anyway - is to prepare. You must have a well-defined business model that you can convey to potential users of your product or service. This way they can identify with you or not. Takes the pressure off of just meeting people to add to your data base.
