How We Got Started

Becky and Barbara bought "The Cottage" a health food store in a nearby town. They very quickly saw that most of the clientele came from West Plains, so in April of 1994 the store opened here under the name of Meadowbrook Natural Foods. I, Adele Voss, started working here in October of 1994 when Barbara and her husband decided to do something different and sold their share to Becky. I was hired to become the manager. Then in March of 2000 Becky decided to downsize, having had three stores and wanting to have more time to travel with her new husband. So Joe and I bought this one and opened April 1, 2000 under the name Meadowbrook Natural Foods, W.P.. So Meadowbrook has been a part of West Plains and the downtown community for 23 years.

Products & Services
Meadowbrook has in stock right now green house tomatoes and Bibb and Romaine lettuce.
We have foods that others stores did or do not have. We did curbside service for the month of April but are now open with the door unlocked!

Beyond local, search for small distributors on line and contact their new product coordinator.

Maybe select a few stores that will let you set up a display out front or perhaps inside if they have room and catch folks' attention as they are coming or going.  Also consider setting up at events, like the old time music festival West Plains and pioneer days in Mountain View in September. Does the plastic in Tupperware give off any obnoxious chemicals?
