Dear Abel & Sofi: A Terrified Introvert Struggles With Sales
Posted by:
Hello Terrified Introvert, I am impressed by your courage to reach out to our Alignable Community for some guidance! This is the first step and I aplaude you for that! Also, I admire your desire to step out of “9-5 secured job” (I don’t believe in “security” in today’s Corporate world... but that’s another subject) and taking the path less traveled (for you, at least).
Here my two cents on the subject... Being introvert is not a good or bad thing. It’s just is and you have to embrace it and accept it! Believe me, introverts WIN all day long!!! Let’s have coffee and I’ll tell you some real life stories! The challenge that I see in here is that you don’t believe in what you are selling. You are doing it for the commission... and the potential client sees it! So, what I would do is find a product that I wholeheartedly believe in and see what will happen! I bet your personality will lighten up and you’ll stop caring about things that don’t matter.
Also, if I may say one more tip... Once you find what you are passionate about and you want to sell/offer that to people you need to find a “partner in crime”- what I mean by that is someone (or multiple people) who believes in what you believe and you, both will bounce off each other positive energy and give each other encouragement to keep moving. Remember, you don’t need to sell everyone on your product. You need a few clients who will bring a few more and before you know it life will be different! :-)
Lastly, please feel free to reach out if you want to talk more in depth about this. I meant it when I said: ”... let’s have coffee”. :-) My cell is (970)846-3713
Chin Up, as my mom will always tell me... and keep chasing your dream cause it’s worth it! :-)
