I am really good with one on one conversations and so I attend one large networking meeting a week (BNI) and do all my other networking in one to one meetings. It's easier for me to get to know people and hold a conversation without distractions and I can cut out the small talk (I hate small talk). It's possible to sell yourself and make sales as an introvert, you just have to find the way that works best for you.

Time-consuming, plus I  have to share my ridiculously small kitchen with 2 other adults who also cook from scratch. Sometimes I can't eat when it works with my schedule so I just eat a box of nut crackers.  (more) Time-consuming, plus I  have to share my ridiculously small kitchen with 2 other adults who also cook from scratch. I had a client that worked with two trainers before me over the course of 5-6 years and neither trainer ever corrected this client's back position in deadlifting or squats, this client is lucky they don't have permanent damage. The second most important thing is that you like your trainer, if you both have good chemistry and like each other both of you will naturally work harder and you will be less inclined to stray from your goals (accountability).  Cleanliness and atmosphere matter most in a gym. Have to have both!

I quickly realized that traveling to people was costing me more than I made, and since most people don't want to pay extra for the time and miles for traveling I don't do it unless they are within 10 miles of me and at a time of day when traffic is light or if they compensate for travel. For some people this may be a great gift, for others a slap in the face. But it also depends on the motivations of the gift giver. Are they giving this as a gift because of misguided intentions, because the recipient really wants it but can't afford it, or because it's something they themselves want. I get gifts all the time I (personally) consider slightly insulting but when the gift giver's intentions are sincere it is a nice gesture, no matter how annoying. If my s/o got me a gym membership to the closest rock climbing gym I'd be thrilled because it's something I can't afford right now, but if he got me a membership to 24hour I'd be very upset.
