Weston Wayland
Rotary Club of Weston and Wayland
About Us
Rotary's worldwide motto is "Service above self." Our members participate in three areas: Service, fellowship, and business. We do this through:
• regular and varied community service projects,
• working meetings over dinner (usually at the Weston Golf Club),
• social events like the Holiday Party with (full contact) Yankee Swap,
• the Business Networking Breakfast series.
How We Got Started
Rotary started in Chicago more than a century ago when business leaders decided they wanted to do more in their communities and build stronger relationships. They did this by committing to regular community service and regular social gatherings. Closer relationships led to more business interactions among Rotarians.

1) Use QuickBooks to generate invoices on an annual, semi-annual and monthly basis depending on our member's preference, and then we process payments through the Biller Genie automation service which is connect to our payment processor (who told us about Biller Genie).
2) Have an online payments page where people can pay for events (dinners, parties, etc) and make donations.
3) We keep members' cards on file in an electronic "Card Safe" and charge them using a virtual terminal after our regular dinner meetings.
Happy to tell you about this stuff or introduce you to our member who set this all up for us and keeps an eye on it. He does that for other customers in/around town and in the Stamford, CT area and DC.

Rotarians put "service above self" and live up to the Rotary Four Way Test, which includes:
1) Is it the truth?
2) Is it fair to all concerned?
3) Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
4) Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
