What do you do when you get stood up for an appointment?

Hi Sharon...first of all, I never take it personally. I realize that some people over schedule themselves, some make errors, and some should have never made the commitment in the first place. It's important to always give the prospective client or business associate the benefit of the doubt. I immediately re-initiate contact and ask them if we were on the same page or not with respect to the date and time. At that point in time, it is generally easy to determine levels of sincerity and why the appointment never happened, and whether or not I will look forward to establishing a further relationship with the person.
