Do you regularly check for social media accounts when seeking a new service provider?

I tend to look more at the overall online presence of a business when I search for them on Google as opposed to their social media accounts. That being said, I will look at the social media accounts if:
1) They do not command the entire first page of Google when I search for their business by name. If they don't have a fully developed online presence, then I'll look at their social media profiles to provide additional "social proof" and see how active they are and what they're posting about;
2) If they have a link to their social media accounts on their website, I will ALWAYS click on those icons and take a look. If the icon link is broken or I'm taken to an account that hasn't been posted to in two years, I'm going elsewhere...
