Make sure that you have other reviews that are positive so that you are not stuck with 100% negative reviews. If the review violates terms of use then you can probably get it removed but it may take time. The other two steps can be done immediately. If you are behaving like the good guy and the other party is not then this becomes fairly clear just by what's posted online. It's hard not to take things personally though, after working hard to do right by a client in the first place.

I'm not sure if you're in the provider space, but I think you are just looking at it from a market research perspective? Customer perspective is that things are all free because gmail is free, etc. However I find that corporate customers grow up fast and realize they can get more if they pay more. I talk to a lot of people who are paying low rates, but all the ones who fall for the "$5/month" plan end up paying more, and they usually pay more than their peers. Hosting itself is a commodity business, but there are opportunities in service. My company approaches it by providing the hosting but bundling other types of support for small business along with, and that often comes as a relief to the business owner. However a business owner who wants to do everything by themselves can get a lower price elsewhere. It's a trade of time for money.
