How it works for Buyers
- A buyer can simply email, call/text or fill out an online request form if they see anything on the site they’re interested in buying, or finding out more information.
- We will then provide you with the Sellers contact information so you can work directly.
- There are no costs from Tamarack Ag if you are buying.
How it works for Sellers
- There’s no fee to list, and if we find you a buyer we charge a 3% finders fee of the actual sale price.
- This commission rate is negotiated for higher value items.
- It’s risk free – if we don’t find you a buyer, or you sell elsewhere, there are no fees from Tamarack Ag.
Tamarack Ag has roots dating back to the 1950’s when my Grandfather managed a Unilever Research Farm in Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire UK. Inspired by a vision to help other farmers, his sons branched out in the 1960’s to start a cattle agency know as BACA, that would only buy and sell cattle from Brucellosis free herds.
In the mid 90’s I joined BACA Livestock Agency in the UK, specializing in beef cattle, handling many European breeds of stocker cattle, and cows & calves. During those years BACA also helped farmers import a lot of well-bred in-calf Holstein Heifers from Holland to improve genetics in the UK dairy herds.
In 2004 we moved to the Dairy Capital of Canada, ‘City Of Woodstock’.
We never lost sight of the vision to help farmers!
With the help of my 3 sons, Tamarack Ag has grown, expanding our network of farmers across Ontario and become an indispensable partner specializing in connecting equipment and livestock buyers & sellers.
