As a full service marketing agency we consider videos crucial for most businesses. We have been offering video creation and syndication which leads to getting high visibility on the search engines. The more you are seen the more traffic is created and it increases your opportunity to make sales.
There are many types of videos but the most popular ones these days are whiteboard scribe videos and animated ones. We use many videos in our own marketing and have been creating videos since 2008 and know how to make them work for our clients too.
The key is not having a video (I meet many business owners who have a video on their website and have a handful of views after being there for years) but you what you do with it.
The consensus on the future of the internet is that around 70% of all content will be video by next year. Think about that and then think about not having a video and the disadvantage it will put you under.

We recently brought 7 new writes onto our team and we not only write for our clients but now they write 3 blogs a week for us and then I post them. Here is a tip if you are going to blog frequently, write the articles as a series such as 1 of 5 on the same topic. This way your followers know there is more info coming out and they will be looking for it.
Writing every once in a while does not get you much traction and the search engines don't pay much attention to you. If you have the ability to get the freah content I don't think you can post too often. The more the better and the search engines really take notice over time. Each article builds on the last like compound interest at the bank.

Now take a look at the videos they create and you find they also promote Yellow much more than the client, they are poorly done and in most cases they get very, very few views. All this and a high cost is what they are all about.
