A few people in my industry feel we should have a good season. Others feel business will be down 40 to 50 percent.  I am going to be cautious on my spending this year. I have been on fb almost every day reminding everyone of my business hours and what I have to offer. Decided to clearance some costumes and accessories to try and draw in business. That helps.  I am looking for someone to help me to get my business out there so when Halloween does get here, they will think of The Kostume Room and not my seasonal competition. I have tried a few social media places but so far I have not been happy with the outcome. Itis just so hard to trust someone with this darn advertising..seems to always be a gamble.

Ty at Chemical Bank was amazing! He would keep us all informed about our loans right up to the end result. He never left us and he and his staff worked their butts off for us. Thank you for your amazing service! (more) Ty at Chemical Bank was amazing! He would keep us all informed about our loans right up to the end result. Painting, cleaning floors, doing alterations of costumes, working on my web site etc. I have been making masks for cancer patients and whoever else can use them. Thought maybe I would make some extras for the store so when I can open the masks will be available to people that do not have one. Before the virus my customers would freely try on costumes, try sample makeup, try on masks.  I guess with the makeup it could still happen because they use a sponge to sample it.  But I would have to make sure even then the makeup is treated with alcohol.  Masks I could spray with Lysol after each time or not let them try on at all.  The costumes are going to be difficult.  Unless I just have them leave them in the dressing room and then spray them with Lysol and let them hang there overnight.  It is one thing when someone rents something. when it is returned it is cleaned every time. But when the customer is just trying on the costume I don't put it through the washer.  Any suggestions are welcome.  Just want to make sure I am making my customer's experience as safe as possible.

I have a commercial mortgage.  The bank is deferring my payment for 3 months and if I need another 3 months they will do it again.  Hopefully way before that we can get going again. The governor is going to extend the stay at home ordeal again. I get it but we cant stay closed too much longer.... Dont know how much longer we can hang on.

I am closing down my business for a week and then see how things go. I have a feeling it will be longer. How I dread doing this to my employees but they understand.  Praying this will be over very soon. Wishing the best for everyone.
