How We Got Started
Ive worked in the Restaurant business for over 30 years, & we’ve even had a brick & mortar restaurant/Pizza Shop in Manchester Pa.
we were a Franchisee & we loved the shop & location, but the system was set up to benefit corporate & not the franchisee!
So we left to help a friend get his shop started & after that we ended up with our food trailers & a small schedule of events, fairs & festivals!
We had just started working off of a website Called Thumbtack at the end of 2014 & since then we’ve booked over 300 Catering & food Trailer events from that site alone!
If you don’t know about Thumbtack feel free to message us on here or on our Facebook or webpage & I’ll give you an introduction to what we feel is one of the greatest tools a small mom & pop business could ever use!
Most recently we’ve moved into an old pizza shop in East Prospect Pa. which we hope to turn into our own tasting & private party venue!

We have food trailers that have fully portable kitchens! We can make any menu you want or create our own!

We represent The Carriage House in Strinestown Pa. York County
It is private banquet hall with seating & catering service up to 150 people

The charges can either be run directly with a chip reader or we can send our catering customers a total invoice which allows them to pay part or all at one time directly to the invoice we email to them & ultimately we are never responsible for having any access to their card # if something were to go wrong!

We provide a free tasting as an incentive to get our foot in the door, we are still relatively new to the Catering side & we rely mostly on Thumbtack to book our events!
We have booked over 300 events in 4yrs from them!
We only buy food for events we have booked so we are never sitting on a ton...

We send each potential customer what we call a Mock Menu, from this each customer Can pare their menu down to a potential final menu, they are aloud to try 3-5 items from this final menu either apps,entrees, or sides
This really helps us interact & we book, about 80% of the tastings
So far it’s definitely worth the effort!

Just be over communicative, let them know or make them feel like they are your 1 & only client!
Just keep doing what your doing!
Don’t stress over instant success, you want them to keep coming back over & over, which takes time & attention...
