Claire, We own a self storage company with no warehousing.  I do not currently use an inventory system because we rent units out for personal storage.  I could recommend that you look at Quayleconcepts.com, he wrote the storage management program SWAMP (Storage Warehouse Assets Management Program) and see  if its applicable or if he has another product that would fit your needs.
