Hi everybody, I am the owner of Around The House Home Inspections LLC. I have been in business for about 6 years. I do a 5000 point inspection on every house. I explain everything to the client and provide them with a report at the completion of the inspection. I really enjoy my job and meeting new potential home owners. I believe in quality work so I take a little longer than most to complete the job. My goal is to try to make the new owners feel comfortable that they are purchasing a good house. I used to be a truck driver with construction background. One day a friend asked me if I could go look at a house with her that she was thinking about buying. While we were looking through the house I noticed in the basement way back in a corner a broken floor joist that was behind a lot of duct work that if you weren't looking close (like most people don't do) it could have been missed and turned into a major problem. My friend and the realtor both said that I had a good eye.So I made up my mind right then that I have a passion to help people to find a good house without any major defects. So I took a college course on house inspections and took all of the state and national tests to become a house inspector, then with in 6 months I quit my job as a truck driver and started my business at Around The House Home Inspections LLC.
This may date me a bit,(lol) but I really miss the Woolworth store that was in Battle Creek Mi. for so long. I miss going shopping with my Grandma and my Mother, then going up to the diner that was in the store for a piece of pie or an ice cream and a Coca Cola or a Root Beer Float!!

I believe that word of mouth is the best, although my line of work old fashioned pavement beating work's well also, such as going around to the different realty office's and introducing myself and leaving business card's.
