I also know that people pay a premium for water in bottles that is of lower quality than what comes out of their tap. I am curious about your question's motivation here. Your question seems a bit of a fishing expedition given your employment and I have to admit that I have wondered about the bias of companies I've encountered selling treatment systems in areas with amazing water quality.

For me, it wasn't the salon, it was the hair stylist!  I am of mixed heritage and so my hair is, to put it mildly, different!  I actually found a stylist of the same mixed heritage as me who understands the challenges of my hair and knows what to do and it's been heaven ever since! And yes, there is a difference between dramatic and honest sticker shock. Usually when the drama king or queen comes out, it tells me that they don't understand the training I have, the investment in quality equipment and an appropriate recording space that I have made, and/or the amount of effort that it takes to produce a quality voiceover. To my advantage, the types who like to play at dramatic sticker shock are ultimately not treating me like a professional and it is a sign that they may not be the kind of client I want to work with in any case.
