Lawrence. You are assuming that all jobs are the same. They vary wildly. Does the customer have the photography ready? Have they written and verbal copy, or do you have to do that for them? Have they already got a domain name and a crappy hosting company and need to move? Do they need online purchasing? Are they on Google Business and Gmap yet? Should they integrate with their FaceBook business page? You are not just building a website any more. These days, you are helping them market their company on the most important marketing platform remaining...the Internet. You need a lot of expertise...but no bullshit...you have to know marketing and understand how to profile a business plan. You have to find out what they can afford and give them as much as you can for their money.
