Making a name for your product or service in your industry? Or just improving your bottom line? While marketing is not an exact science, and we can never guarantee exact results, once you, the business owner, can tell me how you're going to measure your success, I can help you set up a marketing plan to get you there. Every business has different needs and different audiences, and a marketing professional can help you define your niche and then work to help attract your target customers. For example, I might tell one client to stick with a print campaign of some sort, and another client to amp up their digital presence. Some businesses see results with a dedicated PR campaign, and some need a mix of many things. I can tell you this, though... as someone who works with many types of companies, the advantage I have is being able to look at their business from outside of it, with an objective eye. And being able to step back from working IN your business to working ON your business is one of the best ways to garner success.

And, depending upon your demographics, online may or may not be the best way to reach people. Once you know to whom you're selling, the methodology has to match.

Second, there are no limits on how many versions/times you can send test messages to yourself or others (I hate that about about MailChimp). Three, the reports are thorough and the data is easy to understand. And four, their customer service folk are great to work with when you need a real human being.

That being said, there were times I had to work with whatever program a client had in place, so I've learned to make my peace with all of them... somehow. I'd be happy to help you out with more detail if you need/want to reach out.

There are so many options out there, with so many price points to consider, that there really isn't ONE best way. In order for me to even begin working on a strategy for a client, I must first know about his business, his expectations, his customers, what's been tried in the past.... Until I have those answers, anything I say to a client may be the wrong answer, and that does everyone a disservice. For me, the best way to advertise a business is to work with someone who's been in the business for a while; someone who can tell you about option an then help YOU to make an educated decision. When it comes right down to it, the best way to advertise is whatever method attains your goals while making YOU comfortable as you promote your business. Let me know if you'd like to chat further!

One is By The Hour, which I don't usually like to do because inevitably, the scope of the project changes along the way and I spend too much time on it. A second is By The Project, which, after a LOT of years in the business, and a LOT of projects, I can usually ballpark what a specific type of job will cost. A third is By Retainer, where a client pays a set fee per month for my time and experience, has a certain number of hours available to them to chat with me, and receives reduced pricing on the actual work created. With all my jobs, I ask for a certain amount up front to begin the work, and to ensure that I have funds in case consumables needs to be purchased. I also tend to give ranges with pricing, to allow for revisions and some extra time spent here and there. I make sure my clients know that if the scope changes, or they ask for more than I've specified in my proposal, the price will reflect those changes. I'm willing to talk with anyone who is starting a business, or wants to improve their business. It's important for clients to know that with me, they're not just getting someone who is fresh out of school, or has minimal experience in the field. In the long run, results are what counts and a proven track record is a smart investment for any company. I'd love to have a conversation with you if you'd like to chat some more.
