Most of our business is assisting people with large item shipping - Furniture, Machinery, Engines, Artwork, etc. We crate, box, and otherwise come up with complex packing techniques. Most of our items are shipped by truck. We have a complete warehouse, with dock, forklift, and other material handling equipment.

this might be more then you would want to do at his point -- however:
Consider the team approach - Can you find someone who is an extrovert, sales person
to make the cold/intro calls - then arrange the "specialist" (you) to come in ant "do the detail work"?
just a thought.

It works out well when we can maximize our own and our employees strengths - while making our and their weaknesses insignificant.
In other words, a team approach is often FAR more attractive to customers as well!
in my opinion your best option is a retired executive to get involved who can lead the business and assist with long term replacement selection if needed. a recent retired person would be best I would look for one with experience in your business type.
