Nearly half of American businesses were forced to suspend operations for several months and unemployment soared. Many businesses will never reopen. Entire industries—-travel, hospitality, fitness, special events & weddings—-have been dealt a mortal wound. But I don’t favor the practice of simply handling out $1200 here and there. That is unsustainable.  Before I was born, both of my grandfathers worked in Works Progress Administration (WPA) jobs. The WPA sponsored a wide range of employment opportunities for Americans. Even artists were funded; there are WPA funded works of art in the collections of museums to this day. Funding employment brings numerous benefits to the country on a micro and macro level. I vote for a revival of the WPA to put American citizens back to work in full-time living-wage employment.

Several on this list have mentioned that producing one or more short videos to educate potential customers would be heldful and I agree. Another person on this list suggested that you confirm that you've actually identified the customer--- B2B or B2C, for instance? Two or three case studies will detail how your product can specifically help certain of your customer groups.

The digital age arrived and we're all more busy than before, which makes face-2-face networking a challenge. Meeting decision-makers at the chamber of commerce may no longer be possible. I gave up my membership 10 years ago. I'm an independent business strategy & marketing consultant who also does content marketing writing. Face -2-face networking is the only effective method for me. I'm hired by those who know me or are referred to me by a trusted colleague. So how do I meet people? The short answer is, wherever I go, I have before me a potential networking opportunity. More specifically, I've found that board and other volunteer service have brought to me not only good networking opportunities, but also a few good friends. I recommend that you join the board of an organization whose mission resonates with you. Apply your expertise to the goals of the committee you've joined and maybe develop a new competency as well.  Working with a group of people on a cause about which you are all interested, if not passionate, is a great way to allow others to not just meet you, but see you in action and understand what you're like to work with. I don't think you'll find better face-2-face networking. Thanks for the great question! Kim

The Head Nurse for each department should be able to schedule the number of nurses needed to provide the required care to patients in-house. I've read that 75% of RNs feel that they are assigned too many patients and they would like their patient load limited. That would mean more RNs would be on duty for perhaps many shifts. I trust their judgment and will vote Yes to support the nurses.
