The best return on investment I've had is working directly with the customer. Trade shows are a good place to optain contacts but, a lot of times the people visiting the trade shows aren't the people who issue purchase orders.

It's always been my practice to give any news, good or bad, to the customer as soon as it arises. This allows them time to react to the news given.

Yes I do. It is calculated by dividing the cost over the period of one years hours of operation, i.e maintenance cost of $2000 / 2080 HoO = $.96 per hour over the work center cost.
