Hi Will,

We work in the small group, individual health and Medicare markets.

Join your local NAHU chapter and get to know your company reps.  They are a tremendous asset.

If you are brand new in the business, nothing beats a trickle email program.  Zywave has a good one.  Go to your existing group clients and call on the business's on each side and 1 across the street.   Use the fact that their neighbor is your client.  When you renew your groups, make sure you make a note of all the employees over 63 as they will be clients for you in the future.  (if you sell Medicare)   Start calling on lawyers, accountants and financial planners as they are a great source of referrals.  Don't be afraid to hand out your business card to everyone that you do business with.   Always ask your present clients for referrals.   Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keith,

Thanks for the input. Terrific advice! I'll have to look into the email marketing you suggested. Talking to lawyers, accountants etc. is something I knew was effective, but had moved away from for some reason. I appreciate the reminders and the new info. Thanks again!
