The New York Renewable Energy, Engineering and Recycling Group (NYREER) is a woman-owned, veteran owned enterprise with offices in downtown Schenectady and Clifton Park. We were founded in 2008 as a civil and environmental engineering firm. Upon participating in several solar installs in the early years, NYREER has evolved into a renewable energy engineering firm, with a specialty in installation of electrical car charging stations, solar energy, battery backup and backup power generation.
The cornerstone of NYREER’s corporate philosophy is centered around our commitment to purchasing and installing only products that are made in America, and our parallel commitment to preserving American manufacturing jobs, and creating jobs in the Capital Region. Our solar panels are from SolarWorld, the originators of solar panel (PV) technology. These German-engineered, American built panels have been produced in California and Oregon since 1975. They have the highest reliability ratings in the industry, undergo the most rigorous testing, and are supported by the industry’s longest warranty (25 year & 30 years). Our specialized solar panels are produced by Prism Solar, and are manufactured in the Hudson Valley in Highland, New York. Our inverters are manufactured by SMA, also German-engineered and American built. SMA is the originator of inverter technology, and has been manufacturing inverters in the United States for three decades, featuring the industry’s most comprehensive warranty. Our wiring comes from Kris-Tech in Utica, New York. All of our battery technology, including the car charging stations that we install, is derived from General Electric in Schenectady, New York. As you can see, we are committed to the Hudson and Mohawk Valleys for procurement of materials and preservation of manufacturing jobs.
At NYREER, we engineer energy solutions for business and industry. Utilizing our expertise in system engineering and design, we are able to assist companies in reducing or completely offsetting their electricity costs. For building owners/apartments, we also help landlords generate income from tenants through the sale of solar generated electricity utilizing our special E-Mon D-Mon metering technology.

You should have a non-refundable deposit ( its non refundable because this will cover permits, engineering, etc) Second payment should be on first day of work ( make sure this covers your materials, labor and a little profit, and then lastly final payment would should be small. Make sure you contract has in it that a mechanics -lien will be put on the property if payment is not made in full. Have the customer sign the contract. Make sure there is language that states there is no verbal contract and the paper contract is the only contract. If changes need to be made or additional items added during the working period you sign an additionaly contract that is a change order, this will have its owns payments that will need to be dealt with. If you are doing a commerical property or a company and with residential. Make sure both the business , business name dba, and the owner all sign and are held liable both personally as well. We don't warranty anything that isn't bought from us, regardless if it is the same product. Remember if customer supplies it and you install it they are going to come crying to you and blame you. Why would you deal with any of that when they bought it else where. They didn't pay you to deal with that.
Going solar will get rid of supply and delivery. You can also wipe out the demand charge with solar assuming you have enough space for added solar. You can also use software and or battery to wipe out the demand charges. We have a lot of experience doing this and would be more then happy to help...
