About Us

We are a full service home inspection company with experience dating back to the early '90s. Michael Bender, owner and lead inspector, is a Certified Master Inspector and is present at every assignment. This is a family business, not a franchise. We are well educated, with background in construction and contracting. Michael Bender's contracting background focused on turn of the century historical restoration work, with education and practical field experience of all major building systems including, but not limited to: structure and foundation, electrical, plumbing, roofing, HVAC, etc. We provide service for residential listing and presale products, light commercial up to 30,000Hsf, and all insurance evaluation and reports in reference to wind mitigation, four point, and roof certification. We are responsible, and well educated, appropriately licensed and insured and certified, arrive on time and do what we say we will do. We are available, with the owner taking all calls and emails personally. "Cut from old cloth", including dedication, accountability and a heaping helping of ethics, morality and pride in our craft.

How We Got Started

I was a contractor and investor in residential real estate. My skill set is such that I had the education, experience and aptitude to inspect any properties prior to potentially purchasing them. Friends and business associates became aware of this practice and started asking me to look at their properties as well. It was a slow transition, but we eventually morphed over a little at a time, and now do inspections only.

Products & Services
Buyer's and sellers inspections. We perform these inspections on single family detached, mobile/manufactured, townhouse/condo/villa, multi family, ...

I have followed the reputation of this company for many years and found their Reputation to be higher than most in the industry. So much so that we refer business to them whenever we encounter a task that we do not perform (such as phase inspections), or when our calendar is too full to accept another assignment. They have multiple inspectors and can, therefore, accommodate a larger volume than our small firm. As a person that has an unreasonable expectation of other trades people, particularly those in my own industry, I do not refer someone lightly. We, of course, prefer that a client engage our own services but if we cannot serve them for one reason or another, we believe this to be a reputable alternative."

This cry isn't about me, it is about all of us.  That said, for years and years we have all heard the cry to support local merchants, yet the message still needs to be shouted from the rooftops. I support this thought and personally shop local whenever possible. No matter how much stuff you buy, Bezos will never know who you are. My message is in alignment with this "campaign" but focuses on service related businesses.  I do not sell a product, have no storefront and offer no goods online. I perform a service, much like plumbers, electricians, landscape contractors, realtors, hair stylists, etc. Our SERVICE industries are also overshadowed by large regional, state or nationwide chains that have millions of marketing dollars that I and the rest of the local mom and pop service providers lack. It is impossible to get my name on the front page of Google without paying some marketing entity thousands of dollars per month and end up with little or no notable difference in phone traffic only to be told "oh.... moving you up in ranking takes a while, give it a few months... they didn't tell you that when you signed up?". When we sound the drum in support of our locally owned and operated shop owners, please do not forget the very important service industries. It is not only important to support your local guy/girl, but is typically advantageous to the client. You can call A-AAA Nationwide plumbing contractor and pay $600 to have your toilet unclogged or you can call "Ted's Plumbing" from down the street and have the job done for a fraction of  the national price and have the work performed by someone who is your neighbor, who cares about the quality of work and someone that sends the same worker out to attend to any concern requiring a re-visit.  In summation... please look hard at your local SERVICE providers before calling A-AAA Nationwide. We need your business to stay in business and as a result we will treat you right!!

I have a sick spot in the pit of my stomach as I watch the country in which I was raised evolve and disappear… and I wonder why we can’t do anything about it. I fear for my kids and grandkids. We must stand united and demand the values and constitutional rights on which this great nation was founded. IRS should not be an armed force. Period. If you want to hire 80,000+ armed forces I beg you to send 40,000 to protect our schools and the rest to protect our nation’s border. That’s my two cents, popular or not. If you are looking for me for further comment I will be in church praying for my land. I hope this post isn’t flagged and taken down because it is not “PC” or a popular opinion. I value my first amendment and hope this system does as well. Thanks for listening.

After assessing the personal needs and wishes of both buyer and seller, we employ the highest level of PPE as a courtesy to both. This includes masks, foot protection and/or nitrile gloves. In one case, when inspecting the home of a nurse, we were even asked to wear head cover. We are happy to do so and quickly respect the wishes of all parties involved with every transaction as should every other real estate professional, contractor and other persons associated with any transaction. Our own personal preferences sometimes cause a natural human reaction of judgment. We have to be careful to prevent such feelings from creeping in to our actions. Thanks for listening!
