I think that many people are looking for honest caring relationships with their health care providers. We make and take the time to build these relationships. We aim to build an open atmosphere where patients feel free to voice their concerns, ask about their oral health, and tell us what they want and how they want to be treated. It is not one size fits all ... customize to customers, get to know them, listen carefully (as others have said), and become a trusted advisor.
Some simple ways to show people we care are post-op phone calls, hand-written notes, and pre-appointment calls as well.
