About Us

We serve as Alternative Lenders, working with Relationship Managers and others to support their clients funding needs outside of what the Relationship Manager can fund at their organization.

In addition, we market to investors, business owners and others, who may need alternative funding sources.

How We Got Started

We have seen a number of businesses needing non-traditional funding sources to grow and expand their business. For example, the business or investor could exceed the risk profile the traditional funder is able to accept, due to regulatory constraints or the transaction could be outside of the profile type in which the lender is interested.

I believe a multiple pronged approach to include book signings, in conjunction with an advertising campaign would be a good way to maximize visibility and awareness for your book. In an effort to determine which type of client you have, providing options and letting them choose, sometimes works best. This way you get them to commit to one or the other option. In closing, don’t allow this experience to dampen your enthusiasm in the future if things don’t go as planned. Be yourself, as doing your best job for your client can be a fluid process and should be done on a client by client basis.

(more) I started exposing my children to financial matters at early ages. Probably 3/4 years old explaining that you can only take money out of an ATM machine if you have previously made deposits; Walking through strip malls and discussing their opinions on whether a particular business was profitable or not. I recall one of my daughters saying she thought a laundromat was profitable because lots of people were washing their clothes. A keen observation at 5/6 years of age. Both my daughters had their own small business at 8/9 years old. One started a watering/gardening service to take care of the neighbor's plants while they traveled, so their beautiful plants and flowers would not burn up in the sun, while they were on vacation. The other started a document destruction business, shredding documents her clients did not want to simply toss in the garbage. One used her earnings to purchase her own MAC Laptop, which took her 5 years to save, over $2400 at the time, with all the bells and whistles. The other purchased her own iPod, about $500 at the time. This process taught them the value of work, saving, contributing to help others and the value of money. It has also helped them maximize scholarship opportunities for college, minimizing student loan debt. One graduating with less than 10% of total undergrad expenses in student loans and on pace for approximately 4% or less in student loans for her MBA. Student loan debt less than the cost of a new car to be paid in full within one Year of first year of employment. This is the value of financial literacy at an early stage. It is a permanent life skill. So, start early with your children and keep expanding on their knowledge base.
