Your effort to accommodate the client was a great course of action, which many people would appreciate. Unfortunately, there are those who are difficult to satisfy. In an effort to determine which type of client you have, providing options and letting them choose, sometimes works best. This way you get them to commit to one or the other option. In closing, don’t allow this experience to dampen your enthusiasm in the future if things don’t go as planned. Be yourself, as doing your best job for your client can be a fluid process and should be done on a client by client basis.
