Make your budget footwork, in other words get out at minimum with some business cards at best and make conversation with good business networks about your services, also do pro bono events eventually when they see your work if its good they will invest in your services and skills

Hello all, actually this is a great part of family business when the kids turn adults this is where you have to start walking them out of daddy's little girl into the next CEO, growing up is fun and as a part of a family my practice is to always teach you kids professionalism that's the key! You never have to lose your family bond to do so but when you train your kids to interact with clients my motto is professionalism start in the home so in the field it only becomes second nature of what you already learned at home.
The best way is not to get a client to book a photo session but for the photographers to go and find clients that need photo sessions done.
always find the need first and then be ready to fulfill the need!
Don't get people to buy food, find hungry people then be prepared to sell a gourmet meal

Most of my potential clients that have visited my website www.idproductionsit.com have already been wowed which is why they called me for business based on what I've already done, however when I breakdown that their personal vision for their event can be better or more creative than what they've seen it usually takes them up another notch or 2. My company is visual design based so you see what you get and in many cases you'll still get more as options are unlimited. Also I'm hard on myself if I don't wow you I feel like I'm underperforming so I always try to do more for the customer.
Not a marketing company but I use referral companies, they make a percentage on any paid event that they lock down for my company so we get event bookings and they get paid for referrals. Marketing gets paid just for preparation and you still may not make revenue from marketing but you'll still...

Just be good at what you do and stay focused on your specialties always leave 60% of your brands capabilities off line so when you talk to your clients they'll always have room to be extremely flattered by the unknown of what you can do!
