I would find out who reported such to see if it was felonious reporting. But it does not have to be line of credit people. Those who owe from back rents of s hoe or apartment are reported everyday. So it does not have to be a line of credit that is not being paid. But any payments that are owed and in fell behind can be reported to the credit bureaus.

I do not believe there exist a free platform for a small business to report payment history of their customer base to the major credit reporting agencies. However, if you really need or want to have the ability to report payment history of your clients, Experian as well as Equifax and Trans Union, requires that you pay a monthly fee to be a subscriber. In addition, a subscriber is required pay an uninterested third party (EOscar) on a quarterly basis to verify your information when a dispute arise. To subscribe to all three the cost can run a minimum of $750 a month. In addition, your company will need to be in compliant with the Fair Credit Report Act. Unless your cleaner is highly profitable and can absorb the extra warm body to man the reporting and verification of disputes, then your client will love you for the added service. However, for a tight margin business like ours, this entire exercise is undoubtedly cost prohibitive.

I have never reported my clients making their payments on time. I also have never heard of this. Thank you & good luck!!

I wish I could help you. I really don’t know. If you call Equifax though, they will be able to help you.

use positive reinforcement offer rewards, like a discount, to incentivize your clients to pay on time.

This is not your obligation. As owner of a small business, you have enough things to do.
