Have you done a great job for a customer, and then later they ask you for 50% or more of their money back?

Yes, you did what you said you'd do, 5 hours later the husband calls, and yet somehow there's no other middle road other than the client saying: either give me 50% of my money or I will "yelp" you...For those who don't know "Yelp you" means I will bad review you on yelp airing out how terrible of a job and person you are...

The client was not interested in a re-do nor a re-visit immediately...I actually think I was scammed!

Has this happened to you?

tough question,,,i'll leave it as there's 3 sides to every story,,,,,

That means you didn't finish the job. After going over the repair with the clients, you didn't have them sign off that they were satisfied with job, Completing final payment. Paperwork mistakes can cost you.

no refund for you. go ahead leave a bad review have a nice day

Never had this happen EVER ,,,I deal mostly with referrals ,Its B.S !!

We never have this issue with a client.

you have to make sure when they sign a contact, that they understand the scope of work of the project and the price agreement

I haven’t ran into this, but if our workmanship was quality, I’ll stand by the invoice. If they do have a valid complaint, we’d fix it or discuss refund options

Did THEY say you did a GREAT job? Not enough information to comment.

It has. No money back. It has not harmed me or my biz in any way. People have always been out to get ya- so to speak. Your overall reputation will say it all!

yes. unfortunately we don't have a customer review website to yelp them,

bad customers cost of doing business. sorry I don't have a solution

This sounds like a possibility although I haven't experienced it. Yelp needs to correct this problem for business if it wants to survive as a useful tool.
