Bringing in an outside perspective can be very helpful. I am a business and marketing consultant that focuses specifically on struggling or failing businesses. I would love the opportunity to speak with you. I have unbeatable rates and am currently offering a free 60 minute consultation as well. Please email me at [email address] if you are interested and I will help you lower overhead, improve processes, develop a strong marketing strategy and help you grow your business without breaking your bank.

I suggest you give talks at churches and other community centers about health promotion and prevention and say you have openings for new patients attract patients to your practice

in what area are you feeling in? Is it financial, marketing, or customer service? Then make adjustments according. Networking and social media platforms are your best bet these days.

My advice would be to develop relationships with referral partners. Other pros that can refer patients to you and you could reciprocate. The only cost is the time needed to do this.

You could also join a networking group. Like BNI, chapters everywhere. http://www.bnihouston.com/

It is the time of change, go back to doing home visits, work for skilled nursing facilities as their on site doctor. There are many options available to you. Think outside the box.

Simple to say but hard to do but FIRST--- Identify the cause, front desk, billing, management or provider. Many times provider is not investing in staff coding education/training. A failing medical practice can be identified in many parts and unless all areas are audited for efficiency its hard to say how to help. Good luck

FIST : Making an assessment of the state and financial situation of the office:

1. quality of care and problems related to it( treatment plan ,presentation, explanation and Communication with patients) Attitude, behavior and work ethics of staff. Pinpointing that, retraining staff or firing and hiring the ones who are motivated and can be trained and stick to the strict protocol.

2.Quality of dental equipment.Lots of offices look like an "illegal aborton clinics" with outdated and dilapidated equipment", waiting rooms that do not look appealing , walls that need paint in neutral colors. The whole presentation is important.

3. Networking in community, advertising, incentives for bringing new patients, specials of the month etc

4.Continuing education courses especially HANDS ON..... the more the better and be good in 2-3 procedures.Do not try pure out of GREED ( I see that a LOT) try to do things that you are NOT TRAINED or CAPABLE OFF.

MAKE A RESCUE PLAN .. and go from there.....

Identifying the contributing factors and working to improve those things. Patients especially want to feel as if they matter...personal touch care makes a huge difference.

Billing and collection! Like a car may need tune up.
