How have videos helped your organization? This is my first attempt and I would love some feedback.
Do you use videos for promotion, teaching, or some other source?
I created my first video using Doodly to tell my Facebook followers and Email subscribers about how their donations, volunteer efforts, support, and sponsorships have been a big part of the people we were able to help in 2018.
I would love to have you check it out and let me know what you think:
If it's your first attempt, you need to know that video is merely a media. And there is no magic in the media alone.
The key to making video (or any media) effective is to ensure it is specifically targeted to your ideal prospect (not everyone). And the video must be scripted to have a message that moves them to action. A generic message will fail to impress, get attention, or get more business for you.
While your video is merely for supporters, it could have been tailored for use in many different formats and media. If the purpose was to say 'Thank You', the message is confusing with all the other 'offers'. New events, new dates, tons of statistics, etc confuse the message. As a copywriter/consultant in the non-profit niche, it misses the reason people give- it doesn't show any emotion, only stats. So if you wanted to do another 'ask', that was also mixed in the noise.
None of this is personal. It's a cute video. And I hope it accomplishes what you want.
But if you are starting (as you noted), start right! Ensure you understand your ideal prospect, and the message they need to hear, before doing your video.
And this applies to any media.
You'll thank me!

I have only used videos within Instagram for my business, but plan on using some for my website business soon. Video has become the mainstream for advertising these days, whether its for personal therapy or for the arts. So you can't go wrong posting videos about your content or business. It can only add to your client list. Brad
I think your Doodly presentation was well done. However, videos are meant to stimulate your visitors to stay on web pages longer, causing them to absorb more information and engage with the content. Investing in a website video will significantly enhance your company's overall success. Video with audio will appeal to more senses and heighten exposure, and trust. Your viewers are more likely to purchase a product or service online after watching an explainer video.
There's way too much reading in your video, I would do a voice over also. You should use the built in captions to using YouTube. Face book also has this function.
