How much would you charge for the licensing of your video content?
I've had a number of inquiries about using my content as part of an educational platform. It'll play for a lot of people and for a long period of time, so I'm curious what ballpark I should suggest to them. They've given no indication of what they regularly pay, but apparently they license lots of content in this way.

I would have to gather more details to arrive at a price:
1-What type of reach would the content be given and via which platforms? Global rights cost more.
2-Are they seeking exclusive or non-exclusive rights?
3-How long a period will the license cover?
There are many others including -- Is this ad supported? Is editing required? What is the transport protocol? How will the content be featured and where? Will I receive branding on the platform? Who handles encoding? Is this content that I own OR is this content that I am sub-distributing for a 3rd party which offers me less flexibility in terms of a ratecard.
I recommend also that you review their platform extensively to learn how consumers see the content. Ask them where the bulk of their views are completed. If this is transactional in nature you want your content featured in highly trafficked areas.

I don't do video. Only Audio.
I am not sure. I have never been ask that question before. Everything is negotiable.
Hopon istock and look at related content and what the going rate for said content is. That’s how you base your price.
Hi Richard, we typically charge $400 to $500 a week for video ad on our websites (tile size) - hope this is helpful. Best, Christine
I have a page on pond5.com/artist/tytuin
The rates there are pretty average.
It is not for sale at any price. People who bought it ignored copyright laws and shared the file. We lost a great deal of money.
The content licensing costs would vary by the type of shot, the purpose and if it is being used for a non-profit. Our range runs between $100 - $600 per shot.
