What business tasks are your biggest time wasters?

As a bussiness owner, I know that one can easily become overwhelmed with all the tasks that need to be done. There's always a few or maybe that one thing that's keeping you from focussing on growing your business. It's a real time sucker and you wish it would disappear from your to do list. What would that task be for you?

Jason Rochelle Markov, I disagree! Preparing for a meeting is never a waste of time!  It is practice and practice is never a waste of time! I am not saying you are completely wrong, I am saying you are possibly looking AT it wrong.  I have turned a cancelled meeting into a new contact and a "practice" presentation which led to a new client!  Positive thinking means so much to your business!  I know you have a lot to offer; let everyone around you know it! ;)

Definitely "social" media.  Time sucker doesn't even come close to describing the amount of time wasted on "social" media.  For most, the only way it will disappear from their to-do list, is when they go into rehab.  Screen addiction is the next big opportunity to make money in the addiction rehab racket.  Don't believe us?  Just wait until this addictive disorder is recognized & covered by insurance!  You heard it here first.

Good luck!

Biggest time wasters -- procrastination.  Doing the little stuff to put off the things that I don't like, but must do.

Callbacks. Waiting to know if -when it may happen. Part of business, but...

Answering the phone for telemarketers.

Prospecting,, business should come to you, so you can do your work..

Quoting.... bidding.... estimating.... all that stuff, lol.  Not sure I can call them time "wasters" when I get the jobs, but they sure do eat up a LOT of time.

My biggest time wasters are definitely scheduling and entering payments and follow up. That followed by emails in general. It takes a long time to check emails, schedule, payments and then I'd have to say social media.

Preparing for a meeting and then the other person cancels.

Believe it or not it's trying to find property to grow here in the Town of Niagara.  Our company has out grown the present location and with the company expanding our fleet of heavy equipment you run out of space very quickly.
