Owning my own business, I've learned that the most important appointment that can be made..is with myself. I've carved out time(daily) for working out and keep a close eye on food intake( eating the proper nutrients, at the proper time). The older we get, the more important exercise and nutrition become.
Find a weight loss program that holds the client accountable but also helps coach them through any tuff times. It's easy to lose weight with the right program it's much harder keeping it off due to clients falling back into bad habits. Nutrition is the biggest part in losing weight and getting in shape. If you put garbage in you will only get garbage out. Make sure whoever you go to is very knowledgeable about the cutting edge nutritional science and not just pushing another fad diet or magical pill.
How to stay fit...? Avoid getting injured!
I know what I'm supposed to eat, and pretty much what portion. Well meaning, lovely people constantly barrage me with, "try this" chocolate, sugar, candy, cookies, breads etc. I just have trouble with my will power when subjected to such frequent temptation. I have done better when I can say "no" to everything, but just one foot in the door and that sugar is my master again. When I'm doing better with my food intake I find it easier to maintain my sleep and exercise schedules.
I struggle with giving up foods I love to eat vs. losing more weight. I guess moderation is the answer. What kind of Life do you have by not enjoying what you eat?
I would like to know more about nutrition.
Consistency. It must be lifelong and not temporary change.
As far as working out, I find I have to mix it up for me to stay interested and keep different muscles working. In the colder weather, I go to the gym or dance classes, which are so much fun! Now that nice weather is here, walking, swimming and dance really help me mix it up!
Usually finding the time to do it. I force myself to get up a bit earlier and do. 20 min aerobics workout at home. I get to watch one of my fav recorded programs at the same time👍🏻
