The way we've networked has changed over the last 2 months. What do you think about the shift to online networking?
Since the pandemic, most networking takes place online. Do you like the shift? Will you continue networking mostly online or will you go back to in-person?

A combination and depending on age and style preference.
Extroverts like the face to face contact but obviously space and distance and cost
necessitates a good deal of online preparation and messaging before a phone or face to face takes places. Introverts are fine with primarily non- face time networking.
We definitely miss some of the face to face interaction, but we have been pleased at how well we've learned to use video calls and conferencing. It's actually expanded our reach to potential clients outside of our immediate area, it's helped increase communications within and among our team, and it's helped with efficiency by saving travel time. More pluses than I would have imagined!
If I have a client that does not live locally, ZOOM certainly has been a better option and I have had two successful ZOOM meetings with new clients, but I really miss the face to face interaction. I am now leaving it up to each client to decide what they are comfortable with - virtual or in person. It will be interesting going forward to see which option wins out.
You may reach more people who are internet savvy. More people are online then ever before.
Online fir conversation is great you have a paper trail of thoughts, also Q&A's .
The question are they online consumer driven to privacy purchasing or big box companies Amazon, Ebay or Overstock etc;
Good Luck
Honestly, I really don't like on-line networking. I don't mind one on one meetings on-line as it is convenient. Yet, I'm missing that personal touch and sense of community. When it's safe to do, I will go back to in-person networking.
I like it very much. I will continue to host and attend as participant.
I really am not networking any differently than I was before. A large percentage is online, but my personal contacts have not slowed that much. I'm just more careful. Meeting new people has slowed because public gatherings have been reduced, but most of my new business still comes from word-of-mouth.
I am networking in person but we keep the distance and the masks on. I manage properties so I have housekeeping staff that I have to visit with in person and keep them accountable.
I also have fun retreat type events but we have them outdoors and everyone respects the 6' proximity. Plus we have fresh air, sunshine, and we move around and dance during the event.
I believe we all needed a wake-up call for one reason or another and we are giving our planet a chance to recover a little.
Since California continuously has lockdowns and extended stay-at-home orders, the only way to Network is online. Is it as effective as in-person meeting and conversations and relationship building? No. But it is what it is for now, and business will suffer naturally. We build trust by in-person connections, seeing someone's demeanor, their eyes, their facial expressions, but even Zoom lacks in that connection, sadly.
I will adjust however the consumer desires. I have currently asked and most people still prefer the personal face to face appointment. If they want to do a zoom appt online I can adapt to this as well.
