In some ways, zoom networking can be more intimate. We get to see our colleagues up close and personal. But I do miss the energy of live group dynamics.
I'm more of a belly to belly person. But I have to admit, the virtual meetings have been a life saver during the present situation!
Great ! More online and then in person meeting
I’ll go back to in person networking. It’s so important to have the face to face connections.
Being able to connect on Alignable has certainly been helpful during the pandemic. It has provided a degree of connectivity that has not been possible because so many businesses have been closed.
I love online networking. It gives me the opportunity to expand my network beyond my community.
i do 2 zoom meetings a week..monday 9am,,friday 4pm cocktails optional..waiting for my diners to reopen..
I have been on line networking for over 10 years so there is no change in that respect. However I still believe that in person contact is the back bone of professional relationship. Both play an important role. In these challenging times a simple pick up the phone calling and saying "How are you?" can help enhance that personal connection.
I work for amazing, creative clients, so I keep a close watch on what they say AND do. We've been dealing with clients via phone and the Internet for many years, actually. So currently, I just keep on doing what I've been doing. It hasn't changed much. We are currently "out of season," so we get a lot done during the summer months. Right now, I'm getting caught up with social media. In the height of our season, I admit I'm immersed in working with clients and social media takes a back seat. I love speaking with my clients on the phone. We not only discuss jobs, but we share industry "stuff," and they are very generous! It's a way to really get to know them, too--it's upfront and in-your-face networking (without the face)!
There are different ways to utilize online services, and there is something for every business. Businesses are reviewed online by most consumers before visiting, therefore, your online presence is very import. Plus there are online tools that will make your work easier. Appointment and front desk software, review management, loyalty programs, communicating with your customers, etc.
