I would say a Honda Accord is my pick. They look far more expensive than they are, it is smooth, comfortable, reliable, refined and they have a history of being one of the top selling cars in North America for the past 40 years.
I would say a mid size SUV or wagon would be the best choice. You get the ability to take at least 4 adults, any gear or tools with you, comfort and decent gas milage. Stay in non high line price point for the depreciation hit you would take, you don’t want to look like your doing too well and keep your out of pocket expensiveness down!
I know a business owner that won't talk to a sales/business person unless they are driving an American-made vehicle from the Big 3. Although, not everyone has that sentiment, I believe it would be best to represent yourself in an "upper middle class" American-made vehicle. You do not want to drive an "Junker" as that represents you're unsuccessful, however driving a super high-end vehicle may imply you're making too much money on your product. As for the type of vehicle, buy what meets your needs (i.e. carrying lots of product, driving around clients etc.). Hope this helps . . .
I would ask how the vehicle would be use , would the salesman be transporting any box , are supply's . Will he spend the night at versus location . And will he take clients to lunch . If the answer is yes on these question I would suggest the The Gmc Terrain it has room to cater to all of the above question .
The Toyota Prius has been a very good vehicle for us . Very reliable , low maintenance costs and 45-50 mpg . Enough creature comforts to keep our people happy .
Drive something that fits your practical needs (size, storage, comfort, economics), and aligns with the image of what you deliver to your clients - meaning the real decision maker. But always with an element of success.
The Toyota Rav4 is a great vehicle for making sales calls. The Rav4 has all wheel drive, lots of storage space and all of Toyota's safety products. The Rav4 also gets great fuel mileage.
That actually would be a Hybrid Camry, Rav4 or Avalon. The vehicles are rated high in every category and the Fuel economy is amazing. Plus it comes with 2 Years of FREE Maintenance .
