Learn how to recruit and select great people who fit their position!

There are many good answers listed here already. Like some have said I don't know that there is anything that will "insure" success. But I can tell you if you want to succeed the key is "follow-up".

It truly amazes me how many fail simply because they did not follow up. Most people follow up once, twice maybe. Rarely three times yet statistically it is proven it can take repeated follow-ups before someone responds.

This doesn't only apply to sales either. Vendors, Customers, Employees, Investors, you name it. If you will just follow-up in whatever it is you are doing your chances of succeeding will increase many times over.

A second to follow-up is, "take action". So many times we plan, and plan, and plan but we never take the action of implementation. No plan is ever perfect so Just Do It.

Anyway, that's my take. Hope it helps.

Be prepared, listen to your client's problem and act in your clients best interest. Be the trusted adviser.

Have integrity, do the job right the first time, and be humble.

No matter what, deliver, that is my primary thought, having a team in place, process and a proven method for getting results in place ensure that success, having past performance over and over again to support your process tops it off.

Marketing & reviews from clients.

What is the most important behavior to ensure success? (list)

I thought I would list all the answers I found below:

  • Success is not a sure thing unless you set a goal and take action to meet or exceed it.
  • Surround yourself with trusted talent, mentors, and advisors who help and motivate you.
  • Create a system for gaining knowledge and apply that knowledge, habitual repetition.
  • Be prepared, listen and act in your clients best interest. Be trustworthy
  • Follow-up many times and Take Action.
  • “If you believe it, you can conceive it”. Persevere, keep options open, believe in your value, be open to changing directions.
  • Plan, review, modify, think before one acts/responds. Research, set positive goals. Repeat.
  • Be honest with clients and anyone else around me.
  • I would say hire a business coach to help you with your inner mindset issues.
  • Build your relationships on trust, honesty, integrity and product knowhow.
  • Stay out of unmanageable debt. Forego personal reward. Prepare for the hardest of financial times.
  • Do the job right the first time, and be humble.
  • Deliver. Have a team in place, that backs that up that success, do it repeatedly.
  • Marketing & reviews from clients
  • Recruit and select great people who fit their position!
  • There are no bad problems just bad solutions!
  • Budget for proven, internet marketing or perish.  Do SEO, mass social and video marketing to express your value and integrity. (my contribution)

  • I put this list together from all the experts entries for myself and thought you would find some benefit.

I'd like to say there is a formula or "sure fire way" to guarantee success no matter what.  I'd like to cleverly rhyme that if you believe it, you can conceive it. I'd love to say that nothing can stop true believers and hard workers.

In reality, however, there is nothing that can can ensure success, "no matter what."  You may fail a hundred times before you taste success ... even modest success. Too often, success is only achieved because you haven't given up reaching for success and you've kept your eyes open wide enough to realize when your pursuit of success leads you in a different direction that you were sure was "the way."

Persevere ... keep your options open ... listen to others ... believe in your value ... be open to changing directions ... learn ... try, try again.

  • Be certain and committed to why it is you are in the business that you are in.
  • As others noted, deliver your work or product honestly and with integrity and on time.
  • Most crucial to all good advice is to stay out of unmanageable debt. Forego personal reward to make sure you can make it in the hardest of financial times.
  • Success can be measured in so many ways, so there's not a sure thing unless you set a goal and take action to meet or exceed it. One of the most precious keys in life and in business is to surround yourself with trusted talent, mentors, and advisors who help and motivate you.
