By not talking so much...All jokes aside, all of us want the same thing "value." So what is value? Is it perhaps what you get that's over and above what you've alreadypaid? Like a dependable car that you paid off years ago, that still runs like a dream, or is it more like a good friend who knows you so well they think in advance for you. How do you bring value to your clients?
As a provider of legal services, my thoughts on how lawyers can improve their service to clients involves greater effort at the intake stage. Instead of engaging in the hurried dash to sign up a client, listen carefully to what the client needs and ask questions that reflect your active listening. Think of yourself as your client's partner as opposed to the detached service provider. If the client is engaged in a business, with the active listening, you will hopefully have the perspective to assess the client's needs against the backdrop of what they want to achieve in their business, as opposed to merely giving them the legal solution which may not serve the client's business interest.
There are several key ways that attorney can improve the quality of the services we provide. Making it easy for the clients to communicate with the firm while receiving prompt answers to their queries is probably the most notable one. That can be achieved by providing the clients with multiple ways to communicate with the attorney or paralegal (e-mail, telephone, through the firm's website, to name a few) and responding quickly and concisely, avoiding legalese.
Lawyers can improve their service by responding in a timely manner and being Available to assist the client In whatever that legal issue there may be. LegalShield Law Firm strive to be available to their clients. LegalShield hold the law firms accountable to give our clients the best customer service
When representing a non-English-speaking client, consider investing in getting the Terms of Representation professionally translated into your foreign client's language and having your client with limited English proficiency sign the English copy of the Representation Agreement and its translation. This will really help your attorney-client relationship run smoothly from the start. For details please read:
-Before becoming a solo practitioner in Dallas, Texas, I was in-house counsel for many different companies. I have hired numerous lawyers in my time. The best lawyers were those who did two things well: 1) offered flexible, reasonable rates based on the project at hand; and 2) presented clear, well-considered, legal solutions while keeping the client's available resources in mind.
-Attorneys should always be willing to listen to the client and assist the client in determining a reasonable fee arrangement, and manage expectations from the start of the engagement.
-Attorneys should place a huge emphasis on client education. The Krahmer Law Firm, while being ever cost-conscious, spends time with its clients to educate them about the law so that they can make informed decisions. Having come from a background where my dad was a law professor and my mother a teacher, I teach my clients about the law while delivering legal services to them.

Stop over charging on an hourly basis, the client has no control of your time spent. Change the concept.
