We just started in the Limo business in January. Now we've had the Horse & Carriages since 2004, but only brought those out for special occasions. As far as advertising is concerned so far all we have done is the Facebook & Instagram post. Not really paying for the advertising just yet. We are a small 3 limo business. (1 party bus & 2 limos). We signed up with Google & Yelp. But word of mouth with the young crowd helps alot. Especially having them post and tagging us in their post.
The best marketing investment I have made thus far has been in "TEXT ALERTZ". Sharing is easy and simple but has a massive impact. The ability to send out specials, event deals, etc. Out to current and potential clients and customers at one time is so convenient, and takes no time away from networking and building relationships.

They have other business service such as payment Solutions, Payroll services, and Financing services also for those just getting their business started! Saved me a ton!
Hello Mary, We are a newer company and we use Facebook, Instagram, Google + and LinkedIn why not it's free. I would also tell you to reach out to every limo company in your area and make sure they know all about your Party Buses. We also do the Free add on Yelp and we get a lot of business from out of town people coming into Raleigh NC for events. Good Luck!
I took a course with Dennis Brown, marketing director for LinkedIn, I saw results after the very first day of our training. I learned so much and as a result of that Linkedin training, I have over 5,000 followers and it is the social media that I now get most of my customers from. I will have to say that I am impressed with Alignable as well. I had no idea that there are so many businesses in this area that I could utalize for my business. I am fairly new to Texas but Alignable has been great so far!
Your best advertising will always be those that have used your service telling others. You want them to spread the word and good stories. Maybe reward them for telling others.
More traditional types for us locally have been local radio and just going door-to-door to introduce what we have to offer.
On social media, we post every day to set up brand and awareness. Please take a look at ours on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram ( @GetEZER )
Every market is different. Some free or more inexpensive ways are 1) Make sure the hotels sales people know you have the party bus. They meet with a lot of potential wedding folks who may want this service. A lot of apartment complexes will be happy to put a flyer in a new resident packet. I would also visit all the wedding venues in your immediate service area. Also I would visit all other limo companies in your area and let them know you can be their party bus partner.
Spending money is difficult to ascertain. I would definitely go to wedding trade shows or bridal festivals. You may want to visit a few first to see what each one is like and ask some of the other vendors if they have ones they prefer over the other. We all need to do Facebook and ad words you may also want to do thumbtack. Get a video done and on your website also. I do follow up emails with the video from my website and that has improved my response rate.
I would say facebook, instagram, and google adwords so it comes up when someone googles party bus. Tag as many words you can that relate to the business. I would target high schools for prom gatherings too if it's able to be used for underage folks.
Aside from that, I would create a fun flyer and ask for people to share it via social media and let it spread however they choose.
Is there a certain area or nationwide? That would matter where you would post it to. Post on yard sale sites too because people looooove to rummage those types of listings. There's a new "marketplace" icon on facebook that you could post on. It shows all listings within a certain distance from the person looking so that would limit to the people who are local to the town you set your facebook account up with. Community groups, vendor event listings, local firehall and clubs like VFW, American Legion, Eagles, Moose, etc., also try following certain local band gigs in the area, family events, bridal expos, tag bars and clubs or post directly to they're pages.
I could go on forever, lol. Good luck with this, sounds like buckets of fun fun fun! Also, let me know what your service areas are so I can spread the word as well.
Nice idea and hope it works out for you. I know I would use it if it were in my area.
