What will you do in 2019 to take charge of your health?
Will you start eating healthier? Will you begin an exercise program? Are you going to incorporate self care time? What goals have you set for yourself, if any?
The truth...get back into stair climbing and take more of the seal oil. I will not do what I tended to do in the past, over exercise and over do certain activities like gardening. Starting 2019, I found a friend to be an accountability partner and the goals are set only on self care. Best of health everyone.
I am practicing Qi Gong daily. I make sure that I get half my body weight in ounces of room temperature water every day. I set a lunch break for myself every day and am trying to stick to it, as opposed to working through lunch. I always make sure that I get 8 hours, and many nights 9 hours of sleep as that is one of the most important things I need for my body. Now, if only I could fit in more walking or yoga...
Instead of making a grand New Year's resolution with no real plan for success, I have made smaller goals for each month. January - clean out the pantry and purchase healthier choices. February - begin meal prepping on a much larger scale so that most, if not all, meals are made at home from fresh, healthy ingredients. March - Move more. Walking the dog is great but adding dance, yoga, or step classes is better. April and May - make sure I stay on track and integrate these things into my life. June - socialize more. July - learn a new skill (undecided at this time). The rest of the year is used to keep it up. Making smaller goals allows me to do one thing at a time, learn to do it well, make it part of my lifestyle, and then move on to the next goal. The "downtime" lets me rest and enjoy the progress I make.
Pick 1 or 2 health changes to your daily routine and stick to it. It can be eating whole food, increasing water intake, exercise, meditation etc. Remember change is hard.

As a weight loss coach I advise my clients to simplify their lives in order to leave space and time to devote to exercise, relaxing activities and cooking healthy foods.
I took charge of my health in about 1982. A friend’s young son developed Guillain Barre Syndrome. His mother and I started reading books on nutrition. After reading the book Sugar Blues, I removed all the sugar out of my house and started taking Jackie Sorenson Aerobics, then became one of her instructors in Norway in 1984. Finished a Certified Nutrition program in 1990. Opened LindleyOrganic Farm in 2004 selling Raw milk, 💯 percent Grassfed Red Devon beef and pastured Chickens. In 2009 became one of Dr Natasha Campbell McBride’s GAPS Practitioners. I have been considered weird for many years. My goal this year is the same as every year-To continue eating God’s good foods and provide some of them fresh from my farm to my customers.
