People think the price is better online, but that is not at all true. Mattresses range in price from $99 to $10,000, and up. Value can be gotten online or in a store.
Definitely in person. I need to lay on the mattress and see if the height is right and if the mattress itself is comfortable. Not every person is the same just as not every mattress is the same. Plus, you cannot go up to an online mattress and fall back on it! Where is the fun in that?

Only in store. If I'm going to spend 1/3 of my life on this, I want to know how it feels. Returning a mattress I've bought on line would be a hassle.

If I was buying a mattress that I had already tried at someone's home then yes if I liked it I would buy it online
other than that I would really need to lie on it in store as this is something I'm going to spend a third of my day on I don't want to be disappointed
