About Us
We are a retail "Rock Shop" with a huge supply of rock, mineral and fossil specimens, plus gold and silver jewelry, petrified wood bookends, natural stone beads and gift items from around the world! We also carry a large variety of "Himalayan Salt Lamps". Along with that we have lapidary rough, lapidary equipment, tools and beading supplies.
How We Got Started
Our family started this business in 1978 and it is still in the same immediate family to this day. We have been in the Fountain Valley all those years but have had to change the location after 34 years at the original location. We are now located 1 1/2 blocks east of Exit 128 off of Interstate 25.

Only have one part time employee, who has been a godsend. I always give her a personal gift, plus a nice cash bonus to show my appreciation. I give special discounts from the day after Thanksgiving thru Christmas Eve to all customers as a special thank you for their continued support over the years. I also give out some promotional gifts to all customers during that same period. I would not have continued in this business for over 40 years if it were not for my customers, some of whom have become personal friends. We are a small retail store in a small community south of Colorado Springs.

Yes I would definitely recommend a competitor. In our area, there are only a few businesses like mine and over the years, I have had the great opportunity of working with several in the area who I know would give my customers the same great service that I am proud of offering to my customers. One in particular has been in the same business as I have been for almost as long as I have been (40 years). If I can not accommodate my customer, I always refer them to my friend and he does the same for me. We have worked together to make sure our customers have the best experience they can have and feel like they have been treated with respect, honesty and that very experience will always come back to you. Great question!
