Trimper Gallery is located in Greenwich, CT. We are proud to serve as an internationally-renowned art gallery representing an extensive portfolio of emerging, mid-career, and established artists worldwide and we work closely with some of the most distinguished American and International collectors, investors, and artists.
From first-time buyers to Fortune 500 companies to seasoned collectors, our expert staff aims to support and educate people toward making the right decision. Whether you’re livening up your home or making a future investment, we are prepared to guide you through the world of buying artwork.
We also provide comprehensive consultation and guidance to collectors as award-winning gallerists and art advisors.
How We Got Started
18 years ago Alex started working with his mother and helped launch Isabella Garrucho Fine Art which eventually evolved into IG Fine Art which closed at the end of 2022.
After a lifetime of preparation and months of planning on January 1st 2023 Alex made the announcement that he had ventured out on his own and opened Trimper Gallery. While his new gallery is still at the same location over the next few months the new identity Trimper Gallery will begin to take shape, from a total redesign physical space, logo and even the artists the gallery represents Trimper Gallery promises to be a fresh new and exciting space and brand.

2. My mother's name is the business name so every day I'm building her legacy and as she's shaped and molded me into the man I am today. As we are a family business everything I do, every sale we make is providing a better and happier future for not only myself but everyone in my family. I couldn't ask for a career that provided more joy, satisfaction and happiness than what I am doing now!
We host events at our gallery all the time but cash sponsors are looking for the ROI so you need to show them how participating in your event they'll be exposed to potential clients that they wouldn't have access to without your event. Another factor is press and social media exposure.

So this is a tricky question because as a small business owner I know very well how easy it is to feel defeated when you pour your heart and soul into something and you don't see the results you expected.
One suggestion and this may be obvious is revisit every initiative you take the successful ones and the "failures" and figure out what was different. The act of learning from our mistakes is a great motivator and shows your ability to learn and evolve from your mistakes. It requires that you're brutally honest with yourself though and that's not always the easiest thing to do.
A second suggestion for motivation specifically is to have times where you totally disconnect from your work. I'm also a photographer and the ability to go out and take pictures and be creative in a way that I'm not at work really allows me to unwind from the stress of work. Also take family time / personal time with friends is really important. As business owners we forget that we need to take care of our emotional health and personal connections with friends and family is a cornerstone of our personal happiness.
While business is better than ever I have noticed that buyers are taking more time to make purchases than in the past and education is a critical component to the buying process now where it wasn't in the past. We thrive with clients that thirst for knowledge and love talking about our artists,...

While business is better than ever I have noticed that buyers are taking more time to make purchases than in the past and education is a critical component to the buying process now where it wasn't in the past. We thrive with clients that thirst for knowledge and love talking about our artists, their art and the art market. The question I had was why is it taking more time for clients to buy..... the answer... they are shopping around for better prices and at times reaching out directly to the artists to "buy direct".
#1 would be to find a effective and productive way to expand our business in global markets through social media platforms. Global expansion without having to open up a physical location.
