Ecommerce sites have a unique requirement of closing a sale using only the effectiveness of the site design. What are some important factors you believe are valuable to ensure that a sale takes place?

Hmm we hear from consumers and companies alike every day. We've found that one of the biggest challenges our online companies face is getting the consumer to complete the sale. Many times I've heard that the cart was loaded but the purchase just didn't take place. Today's consumers are savvy, they cannot afford to lose money, especially now and especially not with an unknown business. In the end, quick load time and easy/clear navigation and pretty pictures are great but does that close the sale? If the company is trusted you go to the site, add your stuff to the cart, go to the checkout, put in your credit card and boom you're done-no questions asked. The question might be how do you inspire trust online? The answer may be BBB Accreditation. Start with Trust!
Mary, thanks for sharing. I see you are will BBB besides the element of trust that you mentioned here. What benefits does being accredited bring to small businesses?
