Professional, reliable & affordable remote accounting & tax services for small business owners & individuals. Hands on accountant w/ 30 yrs experience working in all aspects of accounting and finance.

How We Got Started

With 30+ years experience as an accountant I was in sales for a while giving me a break from accounting and I kept hearing small business owners and friends who were unhappy with their current bookkeeper, accountant or tax accountant. I pride myself on providing solutions, accuracy and the most important thing is I care. A happy client will refer you to their friends and family. That is how I have built my current business is through word of mouth which is the best referral a business owner could ever receive!

As a small business owner you should be evaluating your expenses on a monthly basis.  This allows you to see where your money is being spent and can be a good indicator if you are spending too much money in one area.  Also reviewing your income and expenses on a monthly basis will show you as a... (more) As a small business owner you should be evaluating your expenses on a monthly basis.  This allows you to see where your money is being spent and can be a good indicator if you are spending too much money in one area.  Also reviewing your income and expenses on a monthly basis will show you as a small business owner whether you are making any money.  It also is a good idea on a quarterly basis so you can reallocate money somewhere else as needed.  If you evaluate once a year it is too late to see if you have made a profit or at a loss.

(more) In person networking is the ideal way to obtain partnerships, referrals and new contacts.  Right now it is a little more difficult to network in person, but you can keep in touch with the people you have already built a relationship with and ask how you can help them.  My best networking success story is working with a local business owner who was a referral from one of my current clients who referred me to several family members.  It is all about building lasting relationships and then business will come your way.  Also another important thing is to build trust among your current networking group and they will refer you when someone ask them who they use for that specific service they may be looking to utilize.

(more) Since the pandemic is not over with yet the digital approach to networking is the safest way to keep in touch with other business owners for now.  You feel better connected when you can see one another and also hear their voice.  If you must meet in person choose a place where you can sit outdoors which is another option I have been utilizing.  You still can be with people, but at a safe distance.

(more) Being able to see my clients via Zoom & Google platform has been a tremendous help!  It feels like you are right there with them!  Email is one form I utilize with my clients, but sometimes the old fashion telephone is one of the best ways to keep in touch with my clients since we cannot meet face to face right now.  Keeping in touch with your clients no matter what the circumstances will provide them peace of mind.  I am a hands on business owner who truly enjoys meeting my clients in person.  So I miss this very much!  For now we have to all practice social distancing to protect one another and their families!

I have not applied personally for the PPP loan because I want this money to go to my existing clients who are needing assistance as well as other small business owners who may be in need of this money.   I have assisted several of my clients with applying for the EIDL & PPP loans helping them... (more) I have not applied personally for the PPP loan because I want this money to go to my existing clients who are needing assistance as well as other small business owners who may be in need of this money.   I have assisted several of my clients with applying for the EIDL & PPP loans helping them gather the appropriate documents required in order to apply for the loan or loans.  One of my clients has already received her money from the first round of money.  The others are being processed and hope to hear back soon.  The one thing I would recommend for anyone who is looking to apply for those loans is to move quickly and speak with your local bank who you already have a relationship with to see if they are one of the participating lenders and if your bank does not help you then I would give another local bank a call to see how they can assist you.   Some banks are quicker than others and have the ability to get the loans processed quicker than others.

I would recommend several options.  One contact your bank that you do business with to see if you can open a line of credit.  Secondly there are always credit cards with initial offers which may provide you a credit line with no interest for so many months which would provide you the additional... If you own a corporation or an "S" corporation and you are an officer of that company and have filed an exemption with the state unemployment to not pay state unemployment taxes and you are the only one receiving pay then you would not be eligible to collect unemployment.
