Am I the only person who has zero motivation to come home and do more of what I just spent all day doing for others?

It's not lazy.  It is important to have a life besides your work.  Surely, your home and family are the focus of that other life.  Enjoy them, embrace the time away from your occupation, and never regret that.

You sound just like my cardiologist....and my shrink....and my ex-wife.... 

I agree with all of you. But - how exactly does that work? It took me 40 years to quit smoking even though I knew quitting was a good idea the day I bought my second pack. 

Every year my resolution is to make time for a life. I see that it's about time to tell myself that again.
