Ms. Powers, there are many factors that make up a strong password. Most of these factors, the human brain is pretty bad at making up and, importantly, sticking with.  The temptation is always there to reuse that one password, or just increment by x number.  Instead, of trying to keep track of various rules, pick a good password manager.  As I'm assuming you are not the technical type, I won't recommend something like keepass/keepassX.  Instead I'd recommend...
