Should I keep personal issues about me out of my business (no matter how horrible they may be) or should I be honest with customers about what has happened to me before they catch hold of vicious rumors being spread about me?

I would say it depends on what happened. If health related that would mean you would need time off, i would say yes tell them so they know what to expect. If personal related I would not share. If your customers like the services you provide to them, your personal life should not matter. If it matters to them, they dont deserve you
