About Us

We work with youth and families that are involved in government oversight. Our specialty is older youth and their families. These youth have normally not been able to complete other programs due to difficult behaviors and have suffered trauma in the system through multiple placements. We are smaller than most organizations and are both willing and able to tailor programs to meet the needs of these unique individuals and not to change them to meet the requirements of our programs.

How We Got Started

In 1994, two men went to the Douglas County Youth Center to provide some spiritual support. They saw four youth in shackles getting ready to go to court. They knew that youth should not be in shackles and started Release to help youth get free and stay free.

She cares deeply about youth and those without proper role models and safe adults in their lives. And she does so many things to help. She helps organizations who help them. She gets businesses to care. She addresses social inequality through government as well. More than anything else, she is a team builder and the best friend and ally you will ever have."

I've seen the joy on the youth faces to hold a baby goat and start to bring healing to the youth and their family."

We still have all our employees and have added two.  But our monthly  revenues are down about 30% compared to February, so we would definitely use it for payroll and reduce the uncertainty of the next 6 months.   (more) We still have all our employees and have added two.  But our monthly  revenues are down about 30% compared to February, so we would definitely use it for payroll and reduce the uncertainty of the next 6 months.

We are one of the fortunate non-profits who have money in the bank from PPP...we have been with Pinnacle Bank since at least 2003 when we bought our first group home -- and they came through big for us.  I hope there is a second round of PPP for those who did not get included in this one.  As I...
